    Program Letter 02-3 presents the standards LSC recipients and Designated State Planning Bodies should consider and that the Legal Services Corporation will use in considering the configuration of a state's legal services delivery system. (January 22, 2002).

  • LSC Program Letter 02-2 (96kb)

    Program Letter 02-2 revises LSC's process for reconfiguration of service areas and the review available to interested parties. Replaces Program Letter 01-4. (January 22, 2002).

  • LSC Program Letter 01-4 (87kb)

    Program Letter 01-4 establishes a review process for reconfiguration of LSC service areas. (July 19, 2001).

  • LSC Program Letter 00-7 (118kb)

    Program Letter 00-7 is LSC's fourth program letter on state planning, setting out expectations for each community of justice and asking states to evaluate the progress they have made in developing a service delivery system that provides relative equity in the ability of clients throughout the state to access services; relative equity in the capacity of the system to meet the legal needs of clients; relative equity to serve client communities in all their diversity and relative equity in the investment of resources (federal, state, private and in-kind/pro bono) throughout the state. (December 13, 2000).

  • LSC Program Letter 98-6 (90kb) & State Planning Considerations (90kb)

    Program Letter 98-6 is a follow-up letter advising recipients how state planning will affect LSC grant decisions - the marriage of state planning and competition. (July 6, 1998).

  • LSC Program Letter 98-1 (71kb)

    Program Letter 98-1 was the initial call to all LSC recipients to participate in a state planning process to examine, from a statewide perspective, what steps should be taken in their states to develop further a comprehensive, integrated statewide delivery system. The letter requires recipients to address seven questions and submit a state planning report by October 1, 1998. (February 12, 1998).
