"Challenge to Justice: A Report on Self-Represented Litigants in New Hampshire Courts"

State of New Hampshire Judicial Branch - 0400008

Abstract Number: 0400008

February 2004

The State of New Hampshire's Judicial Branch published "Challenge to Justice: A Report on Self-Represented Litigants in New Hampshire Courts" which recommends changes to the judicial system to better accommodate and serve the increasing number of pro se litigants who enter New Hampshire's courts. The report, which supports increased funding for legal services, proposes several changes such as public access computers terminals in courthouses, rule changes to allow limited scope assistance, simplifying forms and procedures, and adding case managers to provide support to pro se litigants.
