"Quality Assurance at the Provider Level: Integrating Law Office Approaches with Funder Needs"

by Jeanne Charn - 020091

Abstract Number: 020091

February 2003

Jeanne Charn's article on quality assurance explores means to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services both from a provider's perspective and also from a funder's perspective. Charn's article is divided into three sections: Part One examines quality issues at the Hale and Dorr Legal Services Center of Harvard Law School (the Center) where Charn serves as Director. Part Two examines the quality assurance program currently in place at the Center specifically focusing on quality assurance at the provider level. Part Three connects quality assurance on the provider level with quality assurance issues concerning the national community. This section discusses how national quality standards and expectations can reinforce and entrench a more consistent delivery of high-quality legal services.
