Legal Aid Society of Cleveland (LASC) has partnered with Lorain County Bar Association (LCBA) to establish Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs in Lorain County, Ohio. LASC and LCBA are collaborating to try to expand pro bono services in the county which includes underserved rural areas.  Attorneys in Lorain County, Ohio who agree to handle a pro bono case for the program will qualify for a free six hour CLE course that focuses on the unmet legal needs of the low-income community.  A recently held seminar focused on current trends in social security, accessing social service agencies, recent changes to consumer practices act, domestic violence, refresher on landlord/tenant law and sessions on attorneys' personal experiences providing pro bono services.  The private attorneys attending pledged pro bono service upon completion of the seminar.
