Private Attorney Involvement Plan

Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma - 040050

Abstract Number: 040050

June 2004

Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma (LASO) developed a Private Attorney Involvement (PAI) Plan to identify LASO's statewide strategy for partnering with regional and county bar associations to recruit individual attorneys to increase service delivery to Oklahoma's low-income client community. LASO staff members will conduct outreach at bar association meetings and recruit volunteer attorneys to maximize volunteer attorney involvement in service delivery efforts.

To ensure clients are receiving high quality services from private attorneys, LASO has instituted a quality control program that elicits feedback from clients as well as offers free continuing legal education (CLE) trainings for pro bono attorneys to support efforts by LASO's volunteers to remain abreast of ongoing developments in poverty law. As a statewide program, the plan identifies how each LASO office will incorporate volunteer attorneys into their delivery efforts. To learn more, access LASO's PAI Plan as PDF document below.
