AARP Legal Counsel for the Elderly opened two virtual branch offices in the District of Columbia, known as Self-Help Offices. These offices allow low-income older persons to navigate a specifically created website with the help of volunteers to obtain legal information and other services to help them resolve their legal problems and obtain public benefits.

This is a project with the potential to significantly increase free legal services to low-income older persons.
