Board Policy on Applicants and Clients with Disabilities

Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid (TRLA) prepared a manual entitled, "Board Policy on Applicants and Clients with Disabilities." The policy statement for this manual is "TRLA will not deny representation to clients with meritorious cases within its priorities and resources due to the client's disability, physical or mental, and will work to ensure that its facilities and services are accessible." 
The Board Policy addresses the following areas:

I. Applicants and Clients with Mobility Disabilities
II. Applicants and Clients with Service Animals
III. Applicants and Clients with Visual Disabilities
IV. Applicants and Clients who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
V. Applicants and Clients with Mental Disabilities
VI. Applicants and Clients who make credible threats of suicide
VII. Applicants and Clients with Disabilities who are Victims of Abuse
VIII. Minority Applicants and Clients with Disabilities
