Legal Services of North Florida adopted a Work Incentive Fund policy that ties the accomplishment of certain performance evaluation goals to annual salary bonuses.The goals are objective and measurable.Under the policy, the executive director and director of litigation set goals for each program office regarding, among other things, the number of case openings and closings, outreach activities, and significant cases.Similar goals are adopted for each attorney and paralegal.Job appropriate goals are established for support and administrative staff.Staff members receive a bonus of 5% of salary upon meeting 100% of their goals.If goals are not fully met, the bonus is prorated to correspond with the employee's achievements.The Work Incentive Fund policy will be implemented in the beginning of July 2007.
