Merrimack Valley Legal Services (MVLS) provides loan repayment assistance to full-time attorneys and paralegals to alleviate burdensome loans. Attorneys are eligible for assistance during the first four years following the completion of law school. Paralegals are eligible for assistance for four years following the completion of their undergraduate degree. MVLS will pay up to 75% of each participant's loan obligation not exceeding $200 per month. Loan assistance appears on participants' W-2 form and is considered income for tax purposes. Participating employees' provide MVLS with documentation of loan payments and MVLS reimburses each employee based upon an extended payout schedule. For more information, access the guidelines below.
