Legal Services of Northern California (LSNC) implemented a Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP) to help attorneys repay outstanding law school loans. To be eligible, attorneys must be regular employees who are members of the bar. Participating attorneys are eligible for up to $300 per month in assistance for up to ten years. LSNC reimburses employees once documentation for each payment is provided to LSNC. Reimbursements are considered income for tax purposes. Participants must take advantage of any law school LRAPs available prior to applying for assistance with LSNC.
