Central Virginia Legal Aid Society (CVLAS) created a comprehensive Intake Procedures manual that is used to assist case handlers throughout the intake process. The manual concentrates on intake assistance, immediate advice and the attorney call back hotline. This manual provides thoughtful guidance as one initiates the client screening process. In addition to providing definitions and general guidance about intake procedures, the manual addresses the following:
