Montana Legal Services Association (MLSA) created a comprehensive Intake Procedures manual that is used to assist case handlers throughout the intake process. The manual was developed to support the program's use of the PRIME Case Management System. This manual provides thoughtful guidance as one initiates the client screening process. In addition to providing definitions and general guidance about intake procedures, the manual addresses the following:
• Eligibility; • Conflicts of Interest; • Client Information; • Grievances; • Referrals; • Community Education Materials; and • Compliance checks.
Significant time was taken to draft and compile the information for this manual. Such a manual will greatly assist the case handlers in achieving uniformity with processing cases. A link to the complete manual is included below.
